Top 5 BEST Smash Bros. Items!
It's time to move onto Super Smash Bros.! Let's look at the BEST and WORST Smash Bros. Items all in the same list! Forst, let's get to the Top 5 BEST Smash Bros. Items! Let's get to it!
Number 5 (BEST)
Number 4 (BEST)
Number 3 (BEST)
Number 2 (BEST)
Number 1 (BEST)
Top 5 WORST Smash Bros. Items!
You saw what I think the Top 5 BEST Smash Bros. Items, but you're not here for just that. No. I have something else for you! Let's spread the hate, everyone, and get to the Top 5 WORST Smash Bros. Items. Let's get to it.
Number 5 (WORST)
Number 5 (Worst): POW Block.
As more and more people got better at Smash Bros., Sakurai began to get tired and restless of them making comebacks very easily and using powerful items and ignoring useless items to help you win. Here's what happens: you get a Banana, or you get a Green Shell, and pretty much the only item that will stop you is the Dragoon. Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U came out with a brand new item to try to change this, titled: the POW Block. This item guarantees the loss of any items you are carrying, and there's a possibility that you will get hit a lot of time wasted. It's good to see that Sakurai tried something new to make the game more challenging, but this item is so FREAKING ANNOYING! The POW Block comes up WAY too often. Quite often, this stupid thing will come up ten times per fight, sometimes even more! Of course, you can time it so you'll avoid this item, but I get so sick of this thing showing up that I don't even care, and just let myself get hit. Thank God its only appearance has been in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U. Let's just pray that this item NEVER comes back.
Number 4 (WORST)

Number 4 (Worst): Green Shell.
Green Shells are TERRIBLE. It’s just a stupid shell. That's what we're given. This item is only useful for two reasons: it's good for powering up Hotheads and for hitting opponents, but that's only if you're good at aiming. What makes this item worse than Mr. Saturn is that it doesn't even help by breaking shields. This thing just sucks. I mean, what else can I say? Nobody ever wants a Green Shell.
Number 3 (WORST)
Number 3 (Worst): Banana.
Number 2 (WORST)
- File-SuperLeaf.png
Number 2 (Worst): Super Leaf.
Again, let's talk about the item controversy and how it can be boring getting only Green Shells and Bananas. Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U challenged this problem once again, and out came one of the WORST items of all time: the Super Leaf. So many games revolved around the revival of the Super Leaf when Super Mario 3D Land came out, so that made it a smart idea to bring it to Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, right? WRONG! The Super Leaf is just WRONG. It doesn't even get an F for effort, it gets an F for Failure. When you use this item, you get an unnatural looking Tanooki Tail that allows you to float in the air. That's the item's only use. Sakurai, please try again. We need a better item for the next Smash Bros. game. The Dragoon is the BEST Smash Bros. Item, but what is the WORST item?
Number 1 (WORST)
Number 1 (Worst): Smoke Ball.
This item first debuted in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It has been in every game since, and will even be confirmed for the next Smash Bros. game. Why? This item does nothing to change the gameplay. It has no real effect on the players, and it comes up almost as much as the POW Block does. If you don't know what item I'm talking about, it's the Smoke Ball. I have always wanted to fight someone without trouble seeing, only to get the Smoke Ball in my face as a result. The smoke fails miserably.
