This was bugging me for a while before I joined the wiki, but I think that the Wii U generation of retro courses should have their own music listed. For example, on the music drop-down box on the info-box, there would be a section for The music in the GBA version of this course as well as the music on the Wii U version. However, as other versions of other courses (I.e. 2nd/3rd versions not on the Wii U) have the same exact music as the original. So, I am proposing that the Wii U version of retro courses have their own audio file. Frankly, this one specifically needs another, better file.

If this could be moved to a proposal page, I couldn't figure out how to get it there myself, though mostly because I couldn't find the page. I chose this page afterwards because to me, it is the most notable example. Thanks in advance to anybody who does that. Megamario15 - The REAL Mario (talk) 16:07, 9 January 2015 (EST)

I believe that this proposal is not needed. The cover (a.k.a. "remix") in the Wii U version of this game sounds drastic enough to have its own file. It's in conjunction with policy since we're supposed to, you know, cover as much as we can. What's a better way of illustrating cover versions of music than uploading their .ogg files? It's not even that difficult to implement. Just add the cover version's file right after the original version. But, there should be some line on the types of cover versions. The instrumental covers no doubt should be uploaded, but I'm more iffy on the covers of the music from, say, Mario Kart Wii since it sounds quite similar. I think Mario Kart Super Circuit covers can also be implemented as well. But, anyway, just my thoughts, and I do support your proposal. I can't think of any major flaws.
