  • This episode is briefly referenced in The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 's episode Reptiles in the Rose Garden. After King Koopa tells the Chain Chomps to take Mario, Luigi, Princess Toadstool, and Toad to his dungeon, Luigi says, "Now our poor home country. We can't even tell them the Koopas are coming!"
