World 2 (Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels)

World 2 is the second normal world found in Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. This world takes place at nighttime, and is the first one in the game to do so.
Level Information
World 2-1
The player starts off and go across a bridge. There, they meet up with 4 Koopa Paratroopas, and find 3 ? Blocks, 2 containing coins, and the middle one containing a power-up. Then, the player finds a couple of Brick Blocks, the middle one containing a Star. The player can go through the Warp Pipe under the Stone Blocks, which leads them to a Bonus Room. The player encounters a couple of Piranha Plants along the way, and has to jump from pipe to pipe to cross the water. The player must jump in a moving platform, which carries them across the water aswell. The player here has two choices; either jump from the green Trampoline, or take the platform. The player finds a Piranha Plant, along with two Hidden Blocks beside it, and a Brick Block containing a Vine that leads to Coin Heaven. The player now finds four ? Blocks, the first one containing a Poison Mushroom, and the other ones containing coins. Another Trampoline can be seen here. The player encounters some Koopa Paratroopas here going horizantally. Then, the player reaches solid ground, and a couple more Koopa Paratroopas can be seen here. Now the staircase along with three Goombas is shown. The player need to slide down the Flagpole to complete the level, and the player gains access to World 2-2.
World 2-2
The player finds a Koopa Paratroopa right when they enter the level. After, Piranha Plants along with Goombas and Koopa Troopas appears, with three coins floating in the air. The player must jump across a gap, and he or she eventually finds a Piranha Plant here.
World 2-3
Like 2-3 of the original Super Mario Bros., this level consists of jumping from bridge to bridge while dodging jumping Cheep-Cheeps. It also contains many Koopas and an airborne Blooper.
World 2-4
It is possible to get a 1-Up by kicking the Koopa down the narrow passageway near the start of the level and allowing its shell to run into other enemies. There is a hidden power-up near the staircase before the section of the level with many Fire Bars and Podoboos. Template:BoxTop Template:Super Mario Bros.
