Hey
Hey, this seems like a great project. Are we able to formally sign up? I'm interested in the Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga images.

- Go ahead. I guess I'll set up a discussion here, although, I was supposed to set up a thread within the MarioWiki forums in the wiki collaboration section and call up interested file uploaders. I'm adding L151 (talk) because she's contributing as well. Keep in mind that some of the files I listed may be impossible to accomplish, so don't get overly stressed if one file remains uncrossed. Also keep in mind that the list you're seeing is from 2010; I'm just transfering the stuff after clearing out the file links that went in the red. I might actually make a 2013 version where I'll have to rescan the whole database again, manually, and not only put in my strict standards based on my experience uploading hi-quality stuff, but also files that aren't the wiki potentially needing an upload. --RAP... 03:12, 10 May 2013 (EDT) I was supposed to return to NIWA, and especially my Nintendo Wiki after a long hiatus due to college after dropping this from my hard drive. I have a feeling I'll be working on all three in the future. Not really bad, just more stressed than I can possibly imagine.
It's now done! Quick links have been created for ease of access to jumpstart working on the stuff by major sections. Will be spreading the word regarding this. 2013 version may or may not be possible at this time. --RAP... 04:59, 12 May 2013 (EDT)
- Great! Just a question, have you considered posting this on the Wiki Collaborations forum board? It would raise awareness of the project with those forum users who are involved with the wiki. Also, you said that the downside is updating the image links on the page which have been reuploaded as better quality? I could help out as necessary, if you would like.
PNG Monster
For those who are unaware, I highly recommend that you use PNG Monster for all the data compression for PNGs. The program compresses the image without losing quality. This is because PNG files are designed to be lossless, meaning it retains the same look, but takes less bytes when compressed further. Be sure to read instructions and notes on how to operate it. Try to practice it a bit; I know I had get into this mindset one way or another. --RAP... 05:24, 12 May 2013 (EDT)
