Template:Location-infobox King Boo's Illusion is the final place visited in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, and it is here where Luigi battle's the Tough Possessor and King Boo, as the final boss.

In-Game Description

King Boo has created the ultimate illusion and he's waiting for you to show yourself. are you brave enough to face him in his own territory once again?

History

After Luigi stabilizes the worlds dimension he enters the portal to find the last Dark Moon piece. Upon arriving Luigi winds up in a large room with knight statues. Here Luigi battles the Tough Possesor which posseses multiple suits of armor and a Gigantic suit of armor as a last attempt to defeat Luigi.

Apon defeating the Tough Possessor, Professor E.Gadd tries to pixelate Luigi out, to meet him in the Bunker. However, the transmission is intercepted by King Boo, and Luigi placed back into the illusion world. King Boo then starts taunting Luigi by making windows visible, where the player can see King Boo's silhouette outside, and laughing at him. After the taunting, Luigi looks up, only to see Mario trapped in a painting. He reaches out, but King Boo appears behind the painting, which turns out to be a illusion. He then starts talking to Luigi, about his incarceration in a painting and about his escape. He then announces that "he returned to paint the town red" and become the supreme ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom. He then accumulates energy from his crown, and reveals the arena for Luigi and King Boo's battle. The arena is surrounded by electricity, however, will not inflict any damage to luigi.

Battle

This article is under construction. Therefore, please excuse its informal appearance while it is being worked on. We hope to have it completed as soon as possible.

In the 1st phase of battle, King Boo will summon 3 spiked balls by ramming on the platform, creating a ripple; which will land heavily on the ground from high above. The place where that will land is predictable because of the shadows they cast before landing. They will roll because the platform tilts because of Luigi's weight. As King Boo cannot move if Luigi faces him, the player must manage to immobilize King Boo right under one of the falling spike balls. The spike ball will flatten King Boo, revealing his HP (of 100). Luigi must then vaccuum him, while being careful of the spike balls. Luigi will then manage to completely vaccuum him.

King Boo is not yet defeated, however. He will manage to escape from the vaccuum, and will ram the platform hard, destroying part of it. Luigi will then slide down inside a strange mansion named ???, from a window. In this phase of the battle, resembling an attack of Bowser X in Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, Luigi must run through the mansion, while avoiding obstacles and being aware of an enourmous King Boo rolling from the left. Different obstacles await him, though: crates, armor, ice, sand and tables. King Boo is able to annoy Luigi even more using his crystal by making more sand, or making the drawers of the tables spring out, blocking Luigi's way. Hearts and Gold Bars are also found here. Hitting King Boo will result to a loss of life equal to 20. Apon standing on a spring at the end of the mansion, Luigi will jump out, and land on an identical platform as before.

After defeating King Boo, Luigi picks up his power-enhanced crystal which returns him to the Terrace where Mario's painting was all the time, hidden by Spirit balls, that disappered after King Boo's defeat.
