World 6 (New Super Mario Bros. Wii)
Template:Worldbox World 6 is the name of a mountainous area in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. This world features many tall mountains, high cliffs and deep caves. There are eight levels in this world, each one higher up the mountain, including two castle levels guarded by Morton Koopa Jr., and with an additional Airship level that tales place in the clouds above the summit. Various Mushroom Houses are also found in the world, giving the player items such as Starmen, Mushrooms, and Propeller Mushrooms. On the map, there are Bullet Bill Blasters which continuously fire Bullet Bills. Mario and the gang can get attacked by them and be forced to play in the Enemy Course.
Levels
World 6-1
This level takes place on a series of high cliffs. This course features several rock ledges that Mario must hang from, and rocky walls that can be climbed. This course has many Stone Spikes and multiple Bullet Bills which serve as the main obstacles of this course. This level contains a secret area just above the Checkpoint Flag accessible by jumping of a moving platform.
World 6-2
This is an underground level, with many rotating circular platforms, much like the ones in World 1. The main enemies in this level are Spinies and Swoopers. There are also some Super Piranha Plants and at the end of the cave, there are two Sledge Bros. right before the Warp Pipe to exit the cave.
World 6-3
In this level, there are Mega Piranha Plants, Stalking Piranha Plants, and Buzzy Beetles. The course is a network of Warp Pipes with raising and lowering platforms which the Super Piranha Plants are on top of. When the player sees a passageway that is blocked by brick blocks, they can break them and Wall Jump out of the Pipe to get a Star Coin. Some switches raise and lower the level of the water.
World 6-4
Monty Moles are a common sight in this course. The player will also be able to use Yoshi here. The course has rocky mounds which Monty Moles pop-out of. There are also weight-like platforms which will fall down if there is too much weight on one side. The Monty Moles can also cause the weights to tilt and fall. Right after the Checkpoint Flag the player can go below the next platform into a Warp Pipe and obtain a Star Coin(Note: The player needs to use Yoshi or a Propeller Mushroom to obtain this Star Coin
Enemy Course
Infinite Bullet Bills will come from the left and right of the screen. They will keep coming until the player has collected all eight Toad Balloons in the course. It should be noted that this area will allow for some quick Mushrooms to use on the map screen, and if the player is careful not to kill too many bullet bills, 1-UPs.
World 6-Fortress
This is the first castle of world 6 and is owned by Morton Koopa Jr. This Fortress contains two giant Spiked Pillars on the floor and ceiling of the Fortress, they both collied in the middle of the Fort. There are also some pipe cannons and moving platforms that the player will have to use to advance.
The player faces Morton Koopa Jr. at the very top. During the fight, the player needs to be aware of two spiked pillars that'll strike the sides of the arena.
World 6-5
This level features Porcu-Puffers, tides and some large ? Blocks. The design of this course is much like the design of World 4-2. There's also a secret exit that is accessible using a Propeller Block or Propeller Mushroom, which will take the player directly to the World 6 castle.
World 6-6
This level takes place in a dark underground cavern. There's a boat with a light that the player can move by rotating the Wii Remote. Various enemies, such as Piranha Plants, Cheep-Cheeps, Swoopers, and Fire Bros., make an appearance here. The water may rise or lower at some points of the level.
A secret exit exists in this level, which can be found by entering a red pipe in the area infested with Fire Bros. The player will be in an area with a Glow Block, along with a Swooper swarm. After that area is the secret flagpole. This unlocks a Warp Cannon which takes the player to World 8. It is very easy to complete this level with a Mini Mushroom by dashing across the water.
World 6-Castle
In this level, there are Spiked Balls and Giant Spiked Balls that can hurt the player. Of course, they can also destroy the Dry Bones. It is set above a pool of lava with moving platforms. The castle features two areas, with the second area being highly infested with Spiked Balls, which drop from the ceiling in vast numbers.
The player faces Morton Koopa Jr. again in this castle. The room's floor is composed of six stone pillars, which Morton uses in his offensive tactics. When he gets close enough to a player, he will jump and ground-pound, causing the pillars on opposite sides of him to shoot up to the ceiling, which will the player if they get crushed.
World 6-Airship
This level features Mecha-Koopas and has the first appearance of Rocky Wrenches and the Mario Car. This is also where the player fights Bowser Jr. for the second time. Other dangers in this level are a series of wheels, which the player needs to jump on to advance. In Bowser Jr.'s fight, the player must climb into their own Mario Car and knock Bowser Jr.'s Koopa Clown Car into the electric fence on the walls of the room or jump on him 3 times (only with the Propeller Suit). This is also the 50th level in the game.
