PETA Launches Campaign Against Mario
Hmmm guys, I think we should add this: [1] info to the article. =O Birdobeauties
- I think the info would be better on Tanooki Mario instead of here, and would have to be properly referenced and all that. Feel free to add it yourself. Bop1996 (Talk)
- I agree.--Thejfh1999 18:25, 21 November 2011 (EST)
World 8
Can someone help me make the Bowser's Castle sprite in the World 8 section of this article redirect to the Bowser's Castle article?--Thejfh1999 18:17, 22 November 2011 (EST)
- [[File:name|link=Bowser Castle|px]] I think.
- I think the only way to do that is to make the castle image into a template that redirects to the desired article, something like what's on articles relating to Paper Mario, but the specifics of that are beyond my knowledge. Mario4Ever (talk)
- Uh, thanks.--Thejfh1999 16:21, 23 November 2011 (EST)

Cosmic Mario confusion
Why does it keep saying Cosmic Mario is raced? That never happens in the game! Cosmic Clones chase Mario, but there is never a cosmic mario race! I fixed it in one level, but now pretty much all the levels with cosmic clones say that the player races Cosmic Mario. I would edit them, but there must be a reason somone wrothe that, people normally dont mix up a race with a chase. Can I hear somone else's opinion? Ratfink43 19:14, 22 November 2011 (EST)
it is not a race but he does chase you. It is Cosmic Mario. YoshiGo99
- I disagree. cosmic mario is blue with stars in him, while cosmic clones are red/purple.--Thejfh1999 10:28, 25 November 2011 (EST)
- He does't actually chase you,Yoshigo99. He copies your every move. And to Ratfink43, I think it's a nintendo mix up.:P -Anonymous

The article says it's called a Cosmic Clone. I'm sure Cosmic Mario has only appeared in Super Mario Galaxy 1 so far. --Mario X-Fan 45
Side jump?
In what sense "(Hold right or left)+ to do the Side Jump"? Isn't that a normal jump to the left or to the right? -- Sfavillotto (talk) 09:36, 23 November 2011 (EST)
- In the same way as in SM64, SMS, and SMG series. Hold the Stick to one direction, then quickly change it to opposite and press A. SWFlash
- Ok, but we must explain it better in the description -- Sfavillotto (talk) 14:34, 24 November 2011 (EST)
- It's actually a side somersault.:p -Anonymous

Boxart
The US cover does not have a Jump Block, but a Super Leaf. I checked the boxart in Target. Mario & Luigi
- Fixed. Mario4Ever (talk)
- It does too have Jump block!!--Thejfh1999 20:14, 24 November 2011 (EST)
- Well, the copy shown on the North American website has a Super Leaf. Mario4Ever (talk)
- Okay????--Thejfh1999 22:53, 24 November 2011 (EST)
- So (and I've also snooped a bit online (e.g retailers)) it's the most recent NA boxart. Mario4Ever (talk)
- Oh, then shouldn't we replace the boxart at the top of the article?????--Thejfh1999 10:30, 25 November 2011 (EST)
- I replaced the file, so the boxart on the article was changed automatically. Mario4Ever (talk)
- THE JUMP BLOCK IS THE NOTE BLOCK!And what has the super leaf gotta do with this?:p -Anonymous

Music should be changed
As i mentioned previously (It's on Archive 1), the new version of the main theme should have been in the main article, while the music files that were in the main article until now should have been put into the Beta Elements article. --andrezlatin
About The soundtrack that was mentioned in Archive 1
The soundtrack that was mentioned in Archive 1 had improved and now has alot more tracks. it is still on the same link. --andrezlatin
Special World 8-Crown
Why in the world list there isn't the special world 8 secret level??? Is unlocked after getting 5 stars in the save file.My best friend showed it to me.--DarkFawful7
- It's there.--Thejfh1999 10:26, 25 November 2011 (EST)
Magmaarghs?
I think those are Blarggs. They're mall and just travel through the lava. I think the only thing they changed is their horns and eyes. Bro Hammer (Talk • Cont) 12:30, 25 November 2011 (EST)
No, they are Magmarrghs. If there are Sandmaarghs then there should be Magmaarghs. Besides they are just smaller so the can fight on the screen.YoshiGo99
It's weird that their size shrunk too. What did Bowser do? User:Asaokaj#Asaokaj
New enemies
I'm curious if we know of all the new enemies in this game.Along with any returning ones also.I know the game is new, but Id assume someone beat it already so I am just curious to know if we discovered all species in the game.--Swooper888 03:34, 26 November 2011 (EST)
I've almost beaten it... but who named those Block Snakes 'Blokablokks'? Not nintendo!-Anonimous
— The preceding unsigned comment was added by Asaokaj (talk).
How would you know? The primia guide might have a full list of enemies.YoshiGo99
Sorry,Yoshigo99.(How do i sign off?)

References
Can't we delete the enemies references? Because they're clearly revealed. Bro Hammer (Talk • Cont) 13:36, 26 November 2011 (EST)
- According to The Policy, you can delete all references outside of the trivia section. SWFlash
- Thank you! Bro Hammer (Talk • Cont) 10:14, 28 November 2011 (EST)
Just to know ...
Luigi can't use the Invincibility Leaf ? Even in the normal levels ?
I don't have the game yet, so can someone verify ? Fire-Luigi 18:54, 26 November 2011 (EST)
- Well.....Luigi is unlocked in the Special World 1 but the Invincibility Leaf doesn't appear in the special worlds or levels you have beaten. I don't think so.--Thejfh1999 12:04, 27 November 2011 (EST)
Yeah, after you beat the game all the assist blocks never appear, making the Invincibility Leaf unobtainable. But you can get the P-Wing in some Mystery Boxes. Mario3D64
- Very true.--Thejfh1999 12:39, 27 November 2011 (EST)
Actually, Luigi can use the invincibility leaf. You have to use the warp zone in world 1-2, but not go back. Then, when you rescue Luigi, go back to world 1-2 and die a few times. the invincibility and/or p-wing blocks should appear. User:UltLuigi 20:20, 10 December 2011 (EST)
The Music
I had replaced the old version with the new version of the main theme in the main article. The earlier version was put into the Beta Elements article instead.

Golden tail goombas?
Um..I own the game-Beat All the worlds (including the Special worlds)-and got EVERY Singal Star medal and never ever saw ONE! I think they were beta versions of the standerd tail goombas. And why does Dry bowser have a pony-tail again?
— The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lcc98 (talk).
Dry Bowser has a ponytail because that's his character design. That's like asking "why does Rosalina have a crown again?" But anyways, it is possible that the Golden Tail Goombas were beta elements. First, we'll have to have someone else who's completed the game to confirm this information, as I don't have this game yet. MarioComix 19:46, 28 November 2011 (EST)
Actually I beat the game, every single star medal, gold flag, and level and I have NEVER seen any golden tail goombas, at all. I wish I could show you but I cant. PurplBananah18:36, 30 November 2011 (EST)
Super Mario 3d land In Real Life?!
In Time square they had a big cellabration of this! YA! That's right! And more than them doing it in real life they even handed out FREE Tanooki tails and ears, free gamplay and had MUSHROOM PIZZA!! Why wasn't I told this!?!? Oh and the had 100 guys (and possibly girls) dress like Mario and walk all over the city and hand out fliers. No big deal.. ARE YOU KIDDING? THAT SOUNDS AWESOME RIGHT! IM GOING TO DO THAT TOO!! Well the make life sized koopa troopas and such..

- This is not for the talk pages. put this on Facebook or somthing.--Thejfh1999 16:58, 28 November 2011 (EST)
Cheats and tricks
Where can I insert these cheats? In a new paragraph or in "trivia"? -- Sfavillotto (talk) 13:39, 28 November 2011 (EST)
- We don't add info on cheats. 64Fan (Discussion)
- Ok, but why not?-- Sfavillotto (talk) 12:50, 29 November 2011 (EST)
5 Stars
How do u get 5 stars on ur profile? I have every single Star Medal and got the golden flag for every pole. I think that we should mention ways to get 5 stars on ur profile in the article.--[User:16-Volt 21:39, 28 November 2011 (EST)
- Um no. We aren't a game guide. 64Fan (Discussion)
However we do add info on how to get certain things.--[User:16-Volt 22:26, 28 November 2011 (EST)
To get 5 stars you need to: - Beat the game - Beat all the levels again as both Mario AND Luigi. - Get all the Star Coins. The star coins found in the overworld mystery boxes are optional though and don't count. - Get a gold flag on every level.
Thanks--[User:16-Volt 22:29, 29 November 2011 (EST)
- Actually you need to do this:
Star 1: Beat Bowser on World 8's second castle. Star 2: Beat all levels in the first eight worlds. Star 3: Beat Bowser on World 8's second castle having beaten him on Special World 8's castle first. Star 4: Get all Star Medals. Star 5: Beat all levels using Mario and Luigi, with a Golden Flagpole on every occasion. Glittering Stars: At no point die 5 or more times in a row on a single level.
I got most of this from supercheats.com--Thejfh1999 17:03, 6 December 2011 (EST)
Cosmic CLONE
Whyh is it written that "small mario version of Cosmic Mario is in the game"? It's CLEARLY a Cosmic Clone. It hasn't got anything in common with Cosmic Mario at all, except the laugh (which cosmic clones also have). It acts exactly like a Cosmic clone. If someone can name a good reason why that's Cosmic Mario and not a cosmic Clone then I'm going to kill myself. Or not because...THAT IS NOT COSMIC MARIO IT'S A COSMIC CLONE!!!!!!!!!!!
(If nintendo officially said that it was cosmic mario then ignore everything I wrote) User:MarioMaster720
- I believe it's due to the appearance of the entity, which is by itself in various assorted levels, not in large groups like Cosmic Clones. It might also behave more like Cosmic Mario than a Clone, but I don't know much about it at all. Bop1996 (Talk)
- It's a Cosmic Clone. Period.--Thejfh1999 21:39, 2 December 2011 (EST)
It is Cosmic Mario.--Prince Ludwig 01:36, 3 December 2011 (EST)
- It is not Cosmic Mario!!!--Thejfh1999 17:04, 3 December 2011 (EST)
U mad? It is Cosmic Mario.--Prince Ludwig 18:47, 3 December 2011 (EST)
Okay, this conversation is going NOWHERE. The talk pages are supposed to be used for giving advice, asking questions, etc. that will IMPROVE the article. They're not for back-and-forth arguments that accomplish nothing. For now, leave it as is until it's been confirmed. MarioComix 00:31, 4 December 2011 (EST)
- Whatever.--Thejfh1999 16:50, 5 December 2011 (EST)
Ok, have you NOT noticed? it is clearly Shadow Mario because cosmic mario/clones are starry inside. [User:UltLuigi]
- Shadow Mario? I don't think so.--Thejfh1999 16:48, 12 December 2011 (EST)
- Everyone's getting so pissy over this it's almost hilarious.
- Cosmic Clones do not contain starry insides, not from what I've seen of them.
- Shadow Mario was somewhat transcluent, if memory serves.
- Plus, Shadow Mario was Bowser Jr. holding the Magic Paintbrush.
- Bowser Jr. isn't in this game, and he's long since lost said paintbrush.
- Piantissimo is the only one who's even been hinted at as having said paintbrush, and he's as good as a one-shot character.
- Thus, it is much more likely to be a Cosmic Clone, as nothing supports the Shadow Mario notion aside from pure speciulation; while it could be something else entirely, I am highly doubtful of that possibility. The parts of the article stating that it is a Cosmic Clone should remain as is until confirmation is possible. Lord Grammaticus 14:45, 19 December 2011 (EST)
- THANK YOU SO MUCH! :)--Thejfh1999 18:16, 19 December 2011 (EST)
UFO
Oh my god! I don't know if anybody knows about it, but there is a weird "Easter Egg" on W1-3. Go to that level, watch through the binoculars at the start, spot to the sky, can you see an odd white flying saucer-shaped thing that vanishes once you make a close-up? I'm currently amazed by this. I need to be sure everybody can see it, so we can add this stuff into the article.
--Byllant 01:40, 4 December 2011 (EST)
- It's true! I wonder if there is in other levels... -- Sfavillotto (talk) 09:46, 4 December 2011 (EST)
Can someone tell me where it is? because i didn't as Mario or Luigi...? WAIT! i saw it in World 2-1!-User:TANOOKI LUIGI 747
- I've been recreating this level to watch the UFO and I discovered it appears with both Mario and Luigi, I don't know if it is conditional or not, but it may appear if you toy around with the binoculars by paning out the screen and zooming in and out, I don't know if spotting the Toad on the cliff triggers it, but it always happened after I spotted him. It takes a while for it to appear, but it is no hard to see it, you'll inmediately recognize it. --Byllant 00:01, 5 December 2011 (EST)
Maybe it could be a hint of something that happens in some kind of unconfirmed new game. BTW, TANOOKI LUIGI 747, I didn't see it in 2-1. KoopaKiller13 11:45, 30 December 2011 (EST)
Should there be a page about the tanooki tailed tree?
I dont know, should it? Or should it belong in the Tanooki Leave section?
— The preceding unsigned comment was added by SuperPaperFan (talk).
- It already has one Tail Tree Raven Effect (talk)
Dandelions
Try to blow into the microphone when Mario/Luigi is close to a dandelion... -- Sfavillotto (talk) 14:21, 19 December 2011 (EST)
Special Worlds
Should articles be made for the Special worlds. I think they're enough already to become stubs, but then we can add pictures and overviews and maybe even trivia. Is anyone in agreement?
- JORDAN DEBONO 11:26, 27 December 2011 (EST)
I think we should make them. Mario Galaxy has articles about its galaxies, so why can't Mario 3d Land not have it's worlds? SuperPaperFan
Reference
According to ONM (Official Nintendo Magazine of Australia and NZ), SM3DL's overhead designs (or something) are a reference to the Ledgend of Zelda's 25th aniversary. Or something like that.. Can this be referenced, researched, or something? boy 01:19, 1 January 2012 (EST)
- I believe you're referring to this, in which case we've got it covered. If not, please let me know. Mario4Ever (talk)
Rectangular blocks
A coin block is defined as a block that gives multiple coins, normally coins blocks give one coin per hit and can be hit multiple times. However SM3DL's Rectangular blocks give multiple coins but can only be hit once, does this mean that they are coin blocks?
