The objective for the one player is to rid the other 3. The single player eliminates the 3 players when they are hit by the hovercraft or fall off the platform. They are constantly moving forward, but can turn by turning their [[Wii Remote]]. The other 3 will run around, avoiding the one player, and jumping over gaps. The game ends when all 3 players are gone, or the timer runs out.

Power Trip is a 3 vs. 1 mini-game in Mario Party 8.

Introduction

The 3 players will rise up on a platform, with a few square holes on the edges. Then below the platform will become an electric barrier. The other one player will come flying in, on a hovercraft with electricity running around the edges. It will go to the center, and the game begins.

Gameplay

The objective for thhe solo player is to eliminate the other players, while the trio's objective is to survive until time runs out. The solo player's hovercraft is constantly moving forward, and can be turned with the Wii remote. The other three players use the D-Pad to move, and the 2 button to jump. A player is eliminated when they fall through a hole in the platform or are hit by the hovercraft. If all three players are eliminated before time runs out, the single player wins. If at least one player survives, however, the trio wins.

Ending

If the one player wins, they will be standing next to the hover craft on the platform, and the platform will once again lower down. If the 3 win, it will show them do their victory dances, and the losing player will still be standing behind them, with the hovercraft.

  • A "power trip" is an action taken for the sole purpose of exercising control over others.
