Heart coins
The heart coins appear in Yoshis Story,and can be collected for points. Not unlike coins in the Mario series, heart coins are hidden everywhere in a stage, including in the air, in high places, and even in the ground. Most of these coins, however, are very easy to achieve.
Also, if the player manages to collect every heart coin in every stage, the player will unlock the mysterious, and extremely powerful, Purple Yoshi.
