Template:Character-infobox Eely Mouth is an eel that appeared only once in Super Mario Sunshine. It lived in a massive underwater chamber below Noki Bay and its gingivitis (a dental problem) was the cause of all the pollution in the area. In order to purify Noki Bay's water, Mario had to clean Eely Mouth's eight teeth, three of which were rotten and fell out after being sprayed with F.L.U.D.D. One special tooth was revealed to be golden once it was cleaned off. Eely Mouth had two separate pairs of eyes on either side of its mouth; one pair appeared to be male, and the other female.

Eely Mouth was aggressive and would try to swim up and sucks Mario inside its mouth, lowering his health before spitting him back out. Large, toxic purple bubbles regularly came out of its mouth, but if Mario he sprayed them with F.L.U.D.D., they popped into a cluster of smaller regular bubbles that wouldn't hurt Mario - but rather, allow him to refresh his air supply. Once all the teeth were cleaned, Eely Mouth retreated into its cave, leaving its golden tooth which turns into a Shine Sprite. Mario also gets twenty Coins in a heart-shaped formation on the seabed. Also, when Eely Mouth recedes, F.L.U.D.D. rhetorically comments "Remember to take proper care of your teeth!"

In Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, Eely Mouth's name appears on the scorecard, although it is doubtful that the eel itself plays golf.
