Hint Movies are special movies that give the players hints in the game New Super Mario Bros. Wii. These hint movies are found in Princess Peach's Castle. The player must pay Star Coins to watch them. After using a Toad House, players get a message to visit the castle and watch hint movies. This, however, is optional. The castle is already open when the player starts the game. Some examples of hint movies are Super Skills, Infinite 1-Ups, and Secret Exits.
In Super Mario Galaxy 2 a similar concept called the Tip Network appears. These, however, are free.
