DIC Entertainment (often shortened to DIC) was an animation company that created many programs, including Inspector Gadget, Heathcliff, and The Real Ghostbusters. They were responsible for almost all of the animated Mario shows, as well as other closely related shows such as Captain N: The Game Master and The Legend of Zelda.

DIC and Video Games
DIC produced some of the most well-known cartoons based on video games. Along with the Mario series that they made, they also produced Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Battletoads, Captain N: The Game Master, Darkstalkers, Double Dragon, The Legend of Zelda, Pole Position, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic Underground and Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?.
