Frightmare is the last minigame in Mario Party 5. First, fire-breathing Mechakoopas will appear. They need to be stomped, thrown, or avoided for sixty seconds. If they are breathing fire, they hurt the player if stomped, but they can be stomped if they are charging up. After, Bowser sends fire rings and the player must avoid them for thirty seconds. If successful, Bowser will fight the player. He can charge at the player, breathe fire, and try to stomp the player. To dodge this, the player must get out of the way when he jumps through the air. When he lands, he will crack a tile. After a tile cracks three times, both characters will be sent pummeling to the final area. Bowser will grow to 10 times his normal size, but luckily, the floor will collapse. Unfortunately, Bowser's head and arms will still be sticking out. He will throw orbs, then breathe fire, then send out an electric orb, which gives off a shockwave that can destroy the orbs from the first attack. When those orbs are heated up, the player has to pick one up and hit Bowser's face with it. After Bowser is hit him five times, he will be defeated.
