Mario playing the mini-game Power-Up Panels.

Power-Up Panels is a mini-game found in every red Toad House from New Super Mario Bros. Wii. It takes place in a room with a six by three grid of panels decorated with question marks. The back side of each has an image of an item, Bowser, or Bowser Jr. Players must take turns punching the panels, causing them to flip and reveal their undersides. However, if two Bowser images or two Bowser Jr. images are matched, the game ends. Additionally, if all item panels are revealed, the game ends. At the end of the game, players receive one item for every set of two identical panels with revealed faces.
