Clock Out is a Special Move that can be used in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. It can immobilize Mario's party, the audience, or the enemy's party for 1 to 3 turns (depending on timing and success of Action Commands) and uses 2 SP. Against most bosses and stronger enemies, the success rate is very low. However it has a 50% chance of working if it is at maximum gauge. If used on the audience, SP recovery will stop, as the audience cannot throw stars while immobilized. The move is very similar to Time Out from Paper Mario.
To use this move, Mario must have the Emerald Star, obtained at the end of Chapter 2. When used, a huge bomb will fall from the ceiling along with three random buttons (A,B, or X) under Mario's party, the audience, or the enemy's party. The bomb explodes in about 10 seconds. Repeatedly press the button under the desired target to pass it. Buttons will change rapidly and as such the targets will change after a few seconds. Whichever group the bomb explodes in will be immobilized. There is also a green gauge under the bomb. If full when the bomb explodes, it will immobilize for 3 turns, instead of just 2 or 1 (if the Action Command is poorly executed). This gauge can be filled by repeatedly pressing A, B, or X.
