The Unit in Action

Super Mario Bros. is a Game & Watch version of Super Mario Bros, which appeared as part of the New Widescreen and Crystal Screen series of games. Despite the name, this version of Super Mario Bros. is actually quite different from the actual Super Mario Bros. The only enemies in this game are Bullet Bills and Lakitus.

Characters Appearing in This Game

Plot

The story is the same: King Koopa has kidnapped Princess Toadstool, and Mario is off to save her. However the difference is that at the end of every level, Mario will find the princess without having to fight a boss. The stages are also much different and all stages are auto-scrolling stages. In this game, Lakitus also throw hammers as opposed to Spinies.

Gameplay

Mario must go through eight auto scrolling levels with out falling and losing a life. When the levels are cleared Mario must repeat them but with enemies.

Special Release

This game was released as the only "Special" series Game & Watch game exclusive to Japan. The game comes in a shell shaped like the character Diskun and is quite rare, often selling for hundreds of dollars on auction sites.
