This is a Ruff Puff. Don't confuse them with Dark Puffs... Although I don't think the world would end if you DID confuse them, but anyway... Max HP is 7, Attack is 4, and Defense is 0. They swoop at you or charge themselves with electricity before unleashing lightning. Oh, and if you touch them while they're charged, you'll get a shock! | |||

Description
Cloud-like enemies that appear in the Paper Mario series. They attack by bonking people in the head, ramming and charging up for electric attacks.
Sub-Species
Dark Puffs
Pale Ruff Puffs found in the Boggly Woods. They have the same abilities a regular Ruff Puff has.
Ice Puffs
Ice-powered Ruff Puffs found in Fahr Outpost. They attack by ramming and charging up for icy attacks.
Poison Puffs
Poison-powered Ruff Puffs found in the Pit of 100 Trials. They attack by ramming and charging up for poisonous attacks. The poison gas attack is 10.
Tuff Puffs
In Paper Mario, Tuff Puffs are Ruff Puffs that are a part of Huff N. Puff. They appear after Mario and his team attack Huff N. Puff (they break off Huff N. Puff) and provide backup during battle. Huff N. Puff will swallow these guys up to restore HP.
Notable Ruff Puffs
Paper Mario Stats
Huff N. Puff
Max HP: 60, Attack Power: 5, Defense Power: 0
Attacks:
- Ground Pound: Hovers above Mario and pounds on him. Does 5 damage.
- Hurricane: Inhales deeply and blows wind at Mario. Does 7-2 damage.
- Charge: Gets an electric charge. Warning for Thunder Quake or Lightning Blast.
- Thunder Quake: Charges up for one turn and unleashes a wave of thunder onto the ground. Gotta be careful, because this attack does a whopping 12 damage!
- Lightning Blast: Charges up for one turn and hovers above Mario and shocks him. Does 10 damage.
- Super Ground Pound: When his HP drops to 5 and when he says "This battle isn't over yet!", he and the Tuff Puffs will fly off the screen and crash to the ground, reducing Mario's HP by 5 to 15.
- Recover: He swallows the Tuff Puffs to restore HP-- 1 HP for every small one and 2 HP for every large one.
Tattle: This is Huff N. Puff. He's a giant cloud monster. His thunder attack is very dangerous. If you don't defend, you'll take massive damage. When you attack Huff N. Puff, little clouds called Tuff Puffs come out. Their number is based on the amount of damage you do. If you leave the Tuff Puffs, Huff N. Puff will swallow them up and restore his HP. You need to use smart tactics to beat this guy, Mario.
Ruff Puff
HP: 10, Attack: 4, Defense: 0
This is a Ruff Puff. Ruff Puffs are nasty little cloud henchmen of Huff N. Puff. Ruff Puffs float in the air, so a Jump attack or something similar may be best. Of course, I'd be more than happy to give 'em a Headbonk! It's your call, Mario.
Tuff Puff
Max HP: 1, Attack Power: 2, Defense: 0.
Tattle: These are the Tuff Puffs that break off when you damage Huff N. Puff. Tuff Puffs will fly over and attack you directly. You have to shake them off using the action command or they'll keep on damaging you. Huff N. Puff will swallow the Tuff Puffs to restore his HP, so think carefully when attacking. You can beat the Tuff Puffs easily by attacking all enemies.
Paper Mario 2 Stats

Poison Puff
HP: 15, Attack: 8, Defense: 0
That's a Poison Puff. Basically just a puff of poisonous air. Its poison-gas attack is 10! These things charge you, but they also save up toxins and poison you with them. Scum! Plus, you can't touch them when they're saving up toxins or you'll get hurt. Lame!
Ruff Puff
