Snow Spike is an enemy in New Super Mario Bros. It is a homage to the enemy Spike from Super Mario Bros. 3, as it looks just like it, except for the fact it wears skiing goggles and a snowhat. It attacks in the same manner as Spike, except it pulls snowballs out of his mouth instead of spiked balls, which do not go straight ahead through the air, but instead will fall on the ground and roll towards Mario. They are also much larger than Spike's spiked balls. Snow Spikes only appear in the very first stage of World 5 in New Super Mario Bros.
