Bub is also the name of a character in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. For information on the character see Bub.
Bubs are small, slow-moving red fish, found in the course Dire, Dire Docks in Super Mario 64. Bubs will follows Mario slowly but don't attack. They're related to Bubba, and are essentially more updated version of Cheep-Cheeps.
