- Nintendo has announced their next portable, the Nintendo 3DS. The new handheld will feature a 3-D display that does not require the use of glasses. It will be released in Japan before March 2011.

- The creator of the Mario franchise, Shigeru Miyamoto (pictured) has been selected as candidate for the Príncipe de Asturias award 2010 in Spain.
