Payback

Payback is a status effect in ''Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door''. It is symbolized by a rebounding Purple Arrow, the symbol of the Reurn Postage badge. When the character is inflicted, all direct attackers will receive half the damage they deal, rounded down. There are only two ways that Mario can get this: by using a Spite Pouch, or by wearing the Return Postage badge. The latter two can stack, sending all the damage back to the attacker.

Grodus can also inflict this status effect on himself.
