| '''Baron von Zeppelins''' are different colored balloons with smiley faces that appeared in ''[[Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island]]'' and ''[[Yoshi's Island DS]]''. Whenever they are seen, they carry an [[Item]]. The item can be either helpful or harmful, such as an [[Extra Life]] or even drop [[Needlenose]]s. Usually, they drop an item or the enemy when a [[Yoshi (species)|Yoshi]] goes under it. Three Barons also carry [[crate]]s together. They also help in the final battle against [[Baby Bowser]] by dropping [[Giant Egg]]s.
