Tadpoles are the early forms of frogs or toads that appear in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. For a while, Prince Mallow thought that he was a Tadpole, having been raised as one by Frogfucius and surrounded by other Tadpoles., but he turned out to be a cloud creature from Nimbus Land.
The Tadpoles are visited by Mario once at Tadpole Pond, when the hero meets Frogfucius. The Tadpoles mainly serve as a bridge to allow Mario to cross over the pond.
