Boo Tag is both a 4-player and a duel mini-game in Mario Party DS. In it, you must avoid the player with the Boo. The player with the least time of being "it" wins.

Gameplay

To play, a Boo appears and tags onto a random player. That player must then try to touch the other players passing the Boo on to them. Eventually, another Boo will appear and tag a different player, increasing the difficulty of the game. The other players should try to avoid the player with the Boo by running around the field and hiding behind the golden bars, coins, jewels, gems, sword and other items. However, the players with the Boos can run through the obstacles making it harder for other players to avoid them. At the end, the player with the least time being tagged by the Boos wins.

Controls

To play, use the buttons, A is jump and the control pad moves you. Using the A button allows you to squish another player beneath you (and prevent them from jumping) or hop over some obstacles.

Trivia

  • When the game starts, it is very common for the first boo to tag the player.
