Only Wigglers seem to have this effect, though. Giant [[Koopa Shells]] also appear in World 5-1, which could've been Koopas, who originally fell in Poison Water.

Poison Water is a swamp-like liquid found in Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy, New Super Mario Bros. and New Super Mario Bros. Wii When Mario or Luigi fall into it, they die upon contact and lose a life. It is comparable to lava in its effect. Dorrie, however can swim in it. Poison Water can be green, purple or clear, depending on its location.

In Super Mario Sunshine, Poison Water appears in a Secret Area found within Delfino Plaza. In this area, Mario must ride a leaf down a river of Poison Water in order to collect eight Red Coins. Also worth noting is that in certain episodes of Bianco Hills and Noki Bay, the water is polluted and can still hurt Mario, but will not kill him instantly.
