- Nintendo confirmed the release of the Nintendo DSi XL (pictured), a DSi with increased screen size aimed for older people, for November 21, 2009 in Japan. It will be released in Europe and America in 2010's first quarter.
- Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story was released in Australia on October 22.
- A new Mario game was hinted at on a twitter portal that apparently belongs to Charles Martinet, the voice actor of Mario. This information was later denied by IGN.
