The Dash Attack also known as the Wario Attack is a frequently used Special Move used by Wariothat's has been around since the first Wario Land. Its main purpose is to attack enemies, but it can also be used to hit switches or break open treasure chests and Blocks.

History

Wario Land series

The move is a simple attack in these games; it can be used to attack one enemy at a time or to destroy blocks. In Wario Land 3 it can be upgraded two break harder blocks and several enimies at once.

Wario World

To execute it, the player must press the R Button, making Wario take off in a burst of speed. This is handy for either quickly moving about, or in a pinch, barreling through enemies. Another move, coupling a Dash with a Wario Punch, can be done by pressing, holding, and releasing the B Button.

WarioWare series

In some microgames, this attack is used. An example of a microgame, Wario needs to break through walls to escape an avalanche of gold and treasure.

Wario: Master of Disguise

The attack returns in Wario: Master of Disguise, but only Thief Wario can use it and unlike in his past platformers, Wario does not rush forward while executing it.

Super Smash Bros. series

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

The attack appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as one of Wario's Smash Attacks. Like in Wario: Master of Disguise, he stays in one spot while executing it (unless in his Wario-Man form).
