- A new Mario game was hinted at on a twitter portal that apparently belongs to Charles Martinet, the voice actor of Mario. This information was later denied by IGN.
- Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games was released in Europe on October 16, in Australia on October 15 and in North America on October 13, 2009. A demo of the DS version is available on the Nintendo Channel in Europe.
