- There is a new competition in Mario Kart Wii envolving a time trial race with additional enemies, mostly Piranha Plants, which are placed on the road. There's only one Item Box, which contains a Mushroom. The player doesn't start with any items. It is set on GCN Mario Circuit
- Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (pictured) was released for the Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi in Europe on October 9, 2009.
- Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again! was released for DSiWare in Japan on October 7, 2009.
