A stump in Forest Maze.

Forest Maze is a labyrinth of trees and underground passages found in the game Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. It includes some underground caverns accessed by traveling down tree stumps as well as some regular forested areas, but the main part is a maze infested with enemies. Mario had to follow Geno through it at one time. Forest Maze was Bowyer's base of operations. The Mushroom Boy of Seaside Town asks Mario to retrieve Mushrooms from the forest, and will offer Mario a prize if the plumber returns a rare Mushroom.
