A Chain Chomplet is a relative of the Chain Chomp that has only appeared in Super Mario Sunshine. It has a personality like their main species, but they look different in appearance. They appear to be young Chomps, made up of two spherical sections with a collar dividing each part. Chomplets seem to live in Pianta Village on Isle Delfino; a female red Pianta owns them. They leave a trail of lava goo when they are mad.
Chain Chomplets are in the first episode of Pianta Village. In the episode, Mario has to calm down the fevered Chain Chomps. To complete the episode the Chian Chomplets must be cooled off with FLUDD. Once this is done, their tails can be grabbed. Releasing the tail slingshots the Chain Chomplet, hopefully into the river where they will cool off completely.
