Hello, Ryan here. And this is the talk page, where anything goes, except the following things that should not be allowed here:

  • Eating (during a conversation)
  • Drinking (that too)
  • Making unnecessary headers
  • Bullet flu
  • The ability to run away W/O EXPLANATION.
  • BEEPING BEEP CURSING.
  • Launching a dead arsenal. (Military folks!)
  • Bullet flu
  • Lying
  • Cheating on my property.
  • TRASHING. PHP(OJSA:OFHCB owpf <-- trash
  • Bullet flu... Did I said it again? Oh s*shot*

Good enough to suit ur needs? Grood. Chat along here in this relaxing area, or talk to me in the chatroom!

It's been too long

Er, sorry for taking forever to respond, but I've been insanely busy. I've been volunteering every Saturday, and I've had to do lots of projects, essays and presentations for school; we're into exams now, which means no homework, but tonnes of studying. I won't bore you with specifics about all my projects... though I know you'd like my art final: it's a dragon XD I've been spending all my little scraps of free time editing the Wiki so I don't get demoted for inactivity, but soon I'll be able to help out with the next big project I've set my sights on: deleting redundant templates  I've already singled out my victims, and I'm gonna post the list on the forums tonight to get the rest of the Sysops' approval. You asked about Swine Flu... my mom's boss was in Mexico at the time, and he got sick soon after returning so we were a bit concerned, but it turned out to be nothing :o Happy belated birthday; too bad you didn't get all the images you wanted to upload, but you still uploaded and edited A LOT. I wish my Photoshop was working, then I could go around and remove watermarks like I've been dying to do. Talk to you later (but hopefully not too much later)! - Walkazo 22:56, 9 June 2009 (EDT)

Yeah, I wish I had joined the forums earlier, but I always made excuses to put it off <_> I have dreams that come true all the time; I actually had a dream that my Wiki account got hacked, and then 48 hours later Stooby's account was hacked! Again, sorry for not responding quickly - my friends in RL go for months without returning my phone calls, so I know how you feel... I am done my dragon, but it's still at school... My vision is for some templates to be species-specific (and other Mario-groupings), and then others will be huge templates that cover all the aspects of a game (i.e. {{SPP}}) - none of that {{Mario Strikers Characters}}, {{Mario Strikers Cups}}, {{Mario Strikers Items}} foolery. But I'm a long way from combining templates like those - oh no, I'm only good at deleting and then systematically replacing one thing for another and removing/adding things... For now ;D Cool; I didn't know about the DS successor. I actually like how this generation of Nintendo consoles is lasting so long; my family can't afford to keep up when they turnover every couple years. Today, I am pretty good. My calculus exam was bad, but my friend and I got to ride in the elevator and run around in the school basement with our English teacher, which we've never gotten to do before - and all because I wanted a copy of King Lear X3 - Walkazo 00:07, 10 June 2009 (EDT)

It's exam season, and since I don't have any exams today, I get to stay home! - Walkazo 13:45, 12 June 2009 (EDT)

I generally patrol during my Wiki breaks, but now I've finished checking most of the recent changes... Hmmm... what to do, what to do... Maybe I'll go downstairs and have a snack... - Walkazo 13:52, 12 June 2009 (EDT)

I have one more school-related project to finish (for Monday, hopefully) before I can turn my attention to the templates. However, today I did a little mini-project with CheckUser instead, with fairly successful results (check the admin forums - I made a new thread for it). And yes, I've seen your "Growth of the Summer" project - it's quite ambitious; whenever I make big summer plans they always come up short, so hopefully you'll have better luck with your endeavor. Also, Tucayo turned the PipeProject idea into an actual Proposal, so you should take a looksie. Well, I have rough drafts of projects on the go saved on my computer, and the History of my Template page is a fairly good record of all the proposals I've done, MarioWiki and Special talk pages also record my Wiki-meddling, as do the tonnes of notes lying around my computer. (One Post-It note lists Location Templates I singled out and destroyed; the results of the hated First English Name Proposal; a reminder to clean-up after two particularly irritating n00bs; notes about Angry Aztec and Pokey; and some scribbles I'm too tired to decipher at the moment (3:00 AM).) I also write notes on the kitchen calendar and keep all my old paperwork (so I have cancelled hand-drawn comic pages to laugh at too); but yeah, certainly your binder is much more organized than my mess *is envious* - Walkazo 02:59, 19 June 2009 (EDT)

TimeQ probably removed your Proposal vote because there's no "real" reason, and he'll revert it again unless you say "Per my ideas" or something like that. Just so you know. - Walkazo

No problem. I think whoever removes votes should tell the voter to recast them, but seeing as TimeQ does so much for the Proposals page, I don't hold it against him. *sigh* I have chronic bronchitis, so every month or two I get to spend two weeks coughing like mad too; it doesn't matter what time of the year it is. It's when you start horking up yellow/green stuff that you worry ;D Right now we're being spammed by Maria. I can tell who she is before she even does anything (if you read my forum thread, you'd understand how, but it's been ignored all week, and tonight's a perfect example of how my innovation works! So I'm plugging it on another thread). - Walkazo 01:44, 24 June 2009 (EDT)

Hi RAP. Sorry, I should have told you why I removed your vote. I tend to think that everybody checks the history of the proposals page regularly and thusly knows when and why their votes are removed, but obviously that's not true. I'll try and contact the users whenever I remove their votes from now on. But if I do forget it, I recommend you to check the history before voting again. And thanks Walkazo, that was my reason exactly ;) Time Questions 02:01, 24 June 2009 (EDT)

Ah yes, the lingering cough... There's no telling how long that will last. Yeah, I sometimes wonder how many of our recently created yet inactive accounts are just her, but I guess as long as they're not doing anything it's nothing to worry about. I could never get into editing other Wikis - I'm busy enough with this one, thank you very much. I saw your new topic; it's pretty sweet. I'm rarely left twiddling my thumbs because I obsessively patrol all recent mainspace changes (I think I'm the only one who actually marks things as patrolled as I go along <_<), and then I can always find neglected pages in need of gnomework when that runs out. And soon I'll pitch my Template plan, so that'll be a lot to do for both me and the other Sysops (if they're interested). My day's been pretty uneventful, which is a nice change. How about yours? - Walkazo 02:40, 29 June 2009 (EDT)

I take way to long to get back to you sometimes... Things always come up whenever I plan to talk to you, and before I know it, it's 3:00 AM by the time I'm done whatever anti-n00b cleanup project I got sucked into, and I'm too sleepy to continue the conversation. I'm so behind on many things, and in I'm stuck going on a trip to see my relatives soon, so I only have four days left to do a mountain of work (including choosing courses and setting up payment for University XO). I don't think we'll get anywhere with my IP stuff actually - all the information is the same for everybody - Trolls, Users and Sysops alike. Don't undervalue the power of gnomework - the more spacing, italicizing and coding issues I can fix, the less that will be made in the future (ugh, I just found out someone added the bad <br clear="all"> to about 80 pages, which means there's 80 more pages I'm gonna have to switch to <br clear=all> sometimes in the future -_-'). On the one hand, I like help on big projects, but on the other hand, I'm a zealous perfectionist and if people are gonna make mistakes that I'm gonna have go back and clean up, I sometimes feel like I should just do it all myself the first time around. That's why I'm so dedicated to editing the Wiki - it must be perfect. (And yet my parents won't believe me when I tell them I'm OCD...) I only kicked your arse because you went too far, too fast; as long as you don't go crossing my lines again, your butt will be spared the wrath of my sharp, pointed toenails. If you want motivation to keep editing the Wiki, try turning it into a competition, like back when you were trying to beat that image uploading record. Or if you really don't wanna edit anymore, retire: I don't want to spend my time editing Userpedia, so I've decided to not return there; as soon as I get around to telling the other 'crats, that will be that, and my problem will be solved. - Walkazo 00:12, 10 July 2009 (EDT)

No problem. And thanks, though the "good luck with your life" part makes it sound like you are leaving :o I suck at multi-tasking; I fixate on one thing, and don't do very much of anything else until it's done. Good for homework, bad for life. - Walkazo 02:30, 10 July 2009 (EDT)

Reply To The Welcome

Hey, YoshiKoopa (talk) here. Just wanted to thank you for the welcome and the help pages. And thanks for the page cleanup. I'm not that used to the page setups just yet.

Why did I join MarioWiki, you ask? Well I stumbled upon the website one day and thought,"Hey this is pretty cool," and added it to my favorite websites. Then I found myself visiting the site more and more and then thought,"Why not just join?" so that's what I did.

And about the image upload. It was just something I put together using Photoshop a couple months back and decided that this would be the proper place to upload it just to get it out there on the internet. When I uploaded it, though, it did say it was a very large file, so I tried shrinking it on Windows Photo Gallery, but the program wouldn't recognize the file, so then I decided to just try to upload it and when I did it showed up blank, probably due to the large file size, but I'm clueless as to what to do next to it to get it on here. If you've got any tips, I would appreciate it. - YoshiKoopa (talk)

Yeah, what ended up working was just saving the actual file again in a different format, which wasn't corrupt and it was smaller in size. So the pic is up. I just saved it over the old one and now everything works.

Now a Question about my signature. I want mine kinda like how yours is, just for mine the main page, talk, and contribs pages would be the different color coded parts of my signature, but there is nowhere in the help page that tells me how to do it. And do I want to be friends with you, why not? =D YoshiKoopa (talk · edits)

Oh, sorry about the headers. How's life? Well, pretty good. I've just been hanging around with friends and doing anything. Lately, I've gotten really bored with my Xbox 360, so I decided I'm gonna save up for a Nintendo DS, I'm excited for that. Have I ever played Spyro or Crash? Well a little bit waaaaaaaaaay back when. I never owned any, just played if friends had them. Those were mostly for Playstation, right? I grew up with an N64. If I remember any of the gameplay, the games were OK. YoshiKoopa (talk · edits)

Proposals

Finally! An active admin! OK, this is my first time talking here so... I have a question about what I should do in the proposals section and in case I make a mistake, I need someone to blame it all on help me through it. Should I make a proposal titled:No more Logout message boxes? It proposes that the fake message boxes can no longer log a user out, just send them some where annoying. The other choice is to try to fit a discussion about that in the comments box under that thing. A third choice is to make a new voting section titled:Ban Loging out ones or something like that. Anyhow, you're the admin so you can handle that, see ya in 5min. Marioguy1 (talk)
