Poison water is a swamp-like liquid found in [[Super Mario Galaxy]] and [[New Super Mario Bros.]] It is harmful to touch and to do so will result in a life lost. It is purple in colour but can be green like on the 8-bit luigi planet in [[Toy Time Galaxy]]. If [[Mario]] falls in it in [[Super Mario Galaxy]], he will sink with only his hand showing. In [[New Super Mario Bros.]], when you fall in, Mario leaps up with the losing-life music going "ahhhhh", like when he falls in lava but not with the flames.
