Grumble Volcano.

Grumble Volcano is the last course in the Star Cup of Mario Kart Wii. It takes place in a volcanic area with lava over the place. Drivers will have to jump over gaps in the track with lava beneath using the ramps. At the beginning of the race, players can cheat and boost onto a nearby rock, making the world record 20 seconds. From the second lap onward, parts of the track collapse and new gaps appear on the course. At the beginning of the track is a cave, followed by octagon platforms which move left and right. At several places, the track splits into a right and a left path, both of which drivers can take. Flame Bursts and Podoboos appear as obstacles. Giant ? Blocks appear in the background scenery.

This area is said to be based around the Melty Molten Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy, World 8 from New Super Mario Bros. and possibly Dark Land from Super Mario Bros. 3.

Trivia

  • A major shortcut can be taken by the starting line through a small programming error. The player moves across the road and performs a mushroom boost on a bump behind the starting line. The player would be launched onto the wall. Then the player would move around the large rock on the wall, but as far to the right as possible. Then the glitch allows three laps in as little as 20 seconds.
