The Jungle River, also known as the Jungle Puddle, is the setting of Stage 4-2 in the Jungle page of Yoshi's Story. Since Yoshi's Story takes place before Super Mario World, the Jungle Puddle, though unlikely, may in fact be the Forest of Illusion's river, the actual jungle being the forest.
The Jungle River is divided into two halves. The first half is a boggy area with Mr. Eel swimming along the river and Bomberry growing on the trees. The second half, the more dangerous area, is the home of the giant cousin of the Cheep-Cheeps, the Blurps. Two species of Blurps infest the river: Red Blurps, which jump out and eat prey on the trees (such as a Yoshi), and Blue Blurps, which attempt to shoot down prey with a stream of water before swimming after it and eating it.
To players, this level tends to be considered the most annoying one in Yoshi's Story, as the player can lose many Yoshis to the Blurps.
