Clambos are clams with eyes and long tongues, found underwater in Donkey Kong Country. They lie on the floor, invulnerable to all attacks. Clambos attack by spitting one to five pearls at Donkey Kong or Diddy. While Clambos makes their first Donkey Kong Country appearance in the "Coral Capers" level, they are the main threat of the subsequent underwater level, "Clam City".
Clambos also appear in Donkey Kong Land, their appearance and mannerisms are relatively unchanged. Donkey Kong Land also an abnormally large Clambo as the boss of the area Kremlantis. Unlike it's bretheran this Clambo is capable of moving around in the water and aiming the pearls it shoots.
Some Clambos can be seen in the Club Nintendo comic "Donkey Kong Country." One of them bites a Chomps which is trying to attack Diddy and Donkey Kong, in order to attack the Kongs itself.
