Mimi gives a lot of information about herself in the game show [["That's My Merlee!" Show|"That's My Merlee!"]].  Whether it is true or not is debatable, as she was disguised as Merlee at the time and may have been attempting at making Mario and friends think that she was the charmer. However, it is very likely to be true as Mimi has stated before that she likes men and also states it in the show. Also, when asked what her favorite animal is, she replies "an adorable little demon", a demon being her favorite animal would match Mimi's personality.

“MIMIMIMIMIMIMIMIMIMI!”
Mimi, Super Paper Mario

Mimi is a villain in the Wii game Super Paper Mario. She is one of Count Bleck's main lackeys, and has the appearance of a innocent girl though she has a violent and cruel temper. She possesses the ability to shape-shift, often taking the guises of Merlee and other characters. Her true identity, however, is shrouded in mystery. Whe she prepared to turn into her spider form in Merlee's Mansion, Mimi shouts "True Mimi, come forth". The spider form of Mimi may be her transformation or it may be her true self, what she is on the inside. A monster with the feelings and compassion of a robot (that would explain the gears in true Mimi). It seems unlikely that this is Mimi's true forms as parts of her girl form can be seen while a spider. According to Carson, some say she's a failed Pixl, possibly even the first Pixl ever created, which had revolted against the Tribe of Ancients, although this is unlikely as she is somewhat childish and fun-loving and does not show any desire to take over the world, like the Pixl Queen does. Others say she's the unintended creation of a witch who was researching potions that would allow shape shifting.

Mimi yelling at Mario for breaking a vase

Mimi is first seen by Mario when she is sent by Count Bleck to kill Mario. Mimi quickly travels to Merlee's Mansion, the place Mario is heading. Merlee takes the Pure Heart Mario is looking for into hiding. Taking the guise of a maid for Merlee, she makes her first attempt on Mario's life when she tells Mario that Merlee is in the room above them. When Mario enters the room, the door is covered by bars and the roof begins to lower. Mario however is able to escape by fliping to 3-D. Mario later releases Merlee's pet, Gnaw, which chases Mimi away. In the next chapter, Mimi orders Mario to work off a debt of one million Rubees after he breaks a vase. Mario discovers a secret stash of Rubees, allowing him to pay off the debt and causing Mimi to flee.

In the next chapter, Mimi morphs into her spider form and chases Mario around the massive basement of the mansion. Mario finds a bathroom at the bottom of the basment. Merlee is revealed to be hiding with the Pure Heart in a toilet. Mimi then appears and in a flash of light she transforms into Merlee. To decide which Merlee is the real one, a contest is held where Mario must ask each of the Merlee five questions to decide which one in the real Merlee. After the decision is made, Mimi attacks Mario, Mimi however is invincible and Mario's attacks cannot do anything. Merlee removes Mimi's invincibility with cheer-leader-like chants. Mimi is then defeated by Mario and flees the mansion.

Mimi is fought again in Chapter 6. Posing as King Sammer, she tells Mario that the Pure Heart is in the chest beside them. When opening the Treasure Chest, Mario finds a bomb, and, when he isn't phased by the explosion that erupts from it, Mimi attacks him, this time in her girl form, to waste the rapidly declining time before Sammer's Kingdom is destroyed by The Void. Although she loses in the battle, she succeeds in her goal as Sammer's Kingdom is destroyed.

In Chapter 8, Mimi poses as Merlon and tells the heroes to hit a ! Block. When they do, they fall into a pit. After geting out of the pit, Peach battles Mimi solo. After her inevitable defeat, the room begins to fall apart when Mimi almost falls into a trench Peach grabs her by the leg. Mimi is too heavy for Peach and they both fall into the trench. Mimi is revealed to survive when she and O'Chunks come to Count Bleck's aid after her fellow henchman, Dimentio, takes over. Mimi and O'Chunks' love for Count Bleck helped Mario, Peach, and Bowser defeat Super Dimentio. This action redeems Mimi. After the game is beaten, she gets a job working as Merlee's actual maid, and, since Merlee rarely uses her mansion (as she had moved to Flopside far earlier in the game), she decided turn Merlee's mansion into a stable of cutie-pies (boys). Mimi, Super Paper Mario

Mimi gives a lot of information about herself in the game show "That's My Merlee!".

  • Her birthday is May 5.
  • Her childhood nickname was the "Odd Porpoise".
  • She likes to watch reruns of Super Ultra Goomba Bros.
  • Her favorite smell is Old Cheese.
  • When showering, she washes off the mildew.
  • Her favorite food is tangerines.
  • Mario matches her type of guy.
  • Her favorite animal is a demon.
  • She wants a boyfriend.
  • Her best feature is her effervescent personality.

Powers

“SUCKERS!”
Mimi, Super Paper Mario

Mimi has a large number of powers. The most notable are Mimi's shape shifting ability and the invicibility that Count Bleck gave her. Mimi also has numerous powers that involve her beloved Rubees. Mimi can also transform into a spider-like form. First her head turns upwards to the right, then it swings back (whilst emitting a number of loud cracks). Her head starts spinning almost uncontrollably with her eyes large and round. It stops upside down. In the first fight, her bow loses colour and the lines unfold into a pair of her legs. Her eyes and arms stretch out into the other two pairs. When in her spider form she can shoot rubees at the heroes. Also when in her spider form she can tuck in her legs and fly around the room with pointed rubees sticking out of her. When in her girl form she can form a barrier of rubees around her. In both forms she can cause a wave of rubees to come out of the ground deal damage to anything it touches. Like Mario and Dimentio, Mimi is gifted with the ability to flip to 3-D. Mimi can also float in the air, fly and warp.

Trivia

  • Luigi never fights Mimi, because he is not on Mario's team in the 1st 2 encounters, and Peach battles her herself in the last encounter.
  • Mimi's name derives from the word "mimic", which fits in with her ability to copy others, and possibly "me".
  • According to Dimentio, Mimi's dream of a perfect world is a gem-filled pool with hunky lifeguards. This is one of the many times Mimi is shown to have a love for gems (especially Rubees) and boys.
  • Mimi's outfit changes frequently throughout the course of the game, and is the only character in the game to change her outfit.
  • Her Catch Card says that she has a crush on Bleck, which is also implied in one of the game's early cutscenes and another cutscene during the final battle.
  • The speech bubbles of true Mimi, the Shadow Queen and Bonetail are the same.
  • Mimi has the same ability as Lee from Paper Mario, and Doopliss from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
  • Early in the game she makes a reference to the first Paper Mario game, when she turns into Bowser and yells at Dimentio for reading her diary.
  • When on the "That's My Merlee!" Show, if the player ask the question "What guy's your type?", she will tell that her type of guy is in the room with her, meaning that she may have a crush on Mario.
  • Due to the fact that there are gears inside her, she is possibly a bio-robot.
  • Aside from the intermission that took place during the Super Dimentio battle in Chapter 8-4, Mimi is only found in chapters that have the number 2 inside them. They are Chapters 2-2, 2-3, 2-4, 6-2, and 8-2.
