Countdown Pound is a Duel mini-game found exclusively in Mario Party 5.
Gameplay
The two combatants each stand on a platform that is connected to a timer and a balloon. The timer counts down from ten seconds, blowing up the balloon as it does so. The goal is to Ground Pound the platform as close to 0.00 seconds as possible. The player who is closer to 0.00 seconds is the winner, and the loser's timer changes to XX.XX and his/her balloon bursts, sending the player flying off-screen. Additionally, if the player fails to Ground Pound before the timer hits zero, they automatically lose.
