“You've come a long way!”
Robirdo, Super Mario Advance

Robirdo is a huge robotic version of Birdo in the game Super Mario Advance; it has the ability to shoot giant growing eggs from it's mouth. In its chamber are several chains that whoever the player chooses can climb to protect the player from Robirdo's attacks. The player can defeated it the same way he/she would defeat a normal Birdo; by throwing its eggs back at it. It has a charging attack and a jump that sends a shock wave along the ground.

Trivia

  • Robirdo replaced Mouser as the boss of world 3-3.
  • Robirdo is a portmanteau of "Robot" and "Birdo," and most likely is a pun on "Roberto."
  • Robirdo often does a ground pound that sends a shock wave along the ground to stun Mario. This was likely inspired by the first boss battle of Donkey Kong '94.
  • Robirdo speaks with a robotic version of the regular Birdo's voice. One of Birdo's quotes, "How could you?!", is also said by Robirdo in said voice.
