Mokura

Mokura (also known as Mokuka) is a mysterious green gaseous entity that lives in the desert at Land's End. Interestingly, it is unknown if there is more than one Mokura, or if Mokura is a unique entity. When engaged in battle, Mokura resembles a green cloud with two eyes and a mouth. However, outside of battle, Mokura resembles a small white puff of smoke. When in this form, Mokura wanders around the desert, randomly appearing in different areas and running away from attackers. If an adventurer can chase down Mokura, a battle will begin.

When the battle begins, Mokura will be invisible and assume the name Formless. Since Mokura is invisible, the creature can dodge all regular attacks. Fortunately, Formless cannot dodge special attacks. Mokura is master of magic and can use a variety of magical attacks, including Bolt, Crystal, Static E!, Electroshock, and Solidify. Once a special attack is used against Formless, the cloud creature will assume its true form, the green Mokura. As Mokura, the creature uses the same special attacks as before. Unfortunately, Mokura will regain all its FP it used during its Formless state. Fortunately, in his gaseous state, Mokura will be weak against regular attacks (however, the creature will be strong against special attacks). After defeating Mokura, the winning party will earn thirty Experience Points.

Strangely, boss music plays in the background during a battle with Mokura.

Interestingly, Bowser will summon a Mokura when he uses his Posion Gas attack. Mokura will appear on the battlefield and fill the air with toxic gas, poisoning Bowser’s enemies.

It is unknown if this creature’s true name is “Mokura” or “Mokuka”. Both names appear in the game, so both names are acceptable.
