Tripping is a new feature in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. When a character trips, they will fall over and be temporarily immobilized. This can create chances for opponents to attack the player. Tripping can be caused by sudden movements, such as running, changing direction, or falling on ice. Tripping on a Banana Peel will create the same effect.
