An untitled Mario Kart game for the Nintendo Switch 2 was revealed alongside the system in a "first-look" trailer released on January 16, 2025. The art style of the game's characters appears to have changed significantly, resembling that of in-game Super Mario Bros. Wonder, along with making the characters more expressive.
