Mario in Piranha Plant Hideaway

Piranha Plant Hideaway is a Boost Mode Challenge in New Super Mario Bros. U.

Objective[edit]

In this challenge, one player controls the character on the screen and the other player makes Boost Blocks on the Wii U GamePad for the player to jump on. The challenge starts with the player controlling the character going up a series of Boost Blocks made by the other player to reach the first row of Piranha Plants. The player making the Boost Blocks will create a pathway for the player controlling the character to walk across the top row of Piranha Plants safely. When across, the player controlling the character must fall down and repeat the same process with the bottom row of Piranha Plants, while the player making the Boost Blocks creates a pathway for them. When the player controlling the character reaches the goal ring, the player making the Boost Blocks must tap the Big Piranha Plant on the Wii U GamePad so that the player controlling the character can reach the goal ring safely.

Shortcut[edit]

A shortcut to complete the challenge is to use the GamePad to repeatedly tap on the Big Piranha Plant while the character jumps over it to reach the goal ring.
