If you want a real texture error, Luigi's catchlight is misaligned by about 10 pixels when his eye needs to point away from his nose. (See luigi_3.png in the texture files of [https://www.models-resource.com/wii/mariosupersluggers/model/58605/ Luigi's model]) In the case of the image of Luigi above, the catchlight is 10 pixels closer to his pupil than it should be. But I don't think that's worth showing on the wiki. {{User:DannyTheDingo/sig}} 21:17, May 16, 2024 (EDT) | If you want a real texture error, Luigi's catchlight is misaligned by about 10 pixels when his eye needs to point away from his nose. :Yeah it's not a glitch since the texture seems to be created on purpose, such as the texture of the offset iris and the highlight remaining in place. It's just bad texture job trying to replicate something the engine at the time couldn't do (the animated Illumination movie does use that lighting to a more believable effect). Mario and Luigi's eye highlights are generally interpreted as a literal part of Mario and Luigi's eye anatomy so people just assumed it was a mistake when it's (poorly) behaving more like a point of light. {{User:Mario/sig}} 12:58, May 17, 2024 (EDT) | :Yeah it's not a glitch since the texture seems to be created on purpose, such as the texture of the offset iris and the highlight remaining in place. After the AI subbed Mario in to pitch, after skipping the cutscene with A, I happened to pause at the right time for the fire hand effect in his animation to persist until a little bit after the threw his first ball, when it is not supposed to persist beyond the cutscene at all. Unfortunately, I didn't think to take a picture, and I haven't been able to recreate it, but it sure was distracting for my swing. It was on original hardware, if that matters. |

Eye Texture Glitch
- The eye texture glitch that's mentioned seems unnecessary. I once uploaded an image involving Daisy's Melee trophy and the third eye dilemma, but it was later removed. Discuss. M&SG (talk) 22:07, 20 October 2011 (EDT)
Why was it removed? I mean, texture glitches are glitches. The Baby Mario texture glitch is mentioned in the Mario Kart: Double Dash!!/Glitches page and it isn't removed. What makes the Daisy glitch so different? It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 22:12, 20 October 2011 (EDT)
- Speak with UhHuhAlrightDaisy, regarding that matter. Also, the eye glitches are minor, compared to the texture glitch that Baby Mario has in Double Dash!!. M&SG (talk) 22:18, 20 October 2011 (EDT)
I don't think this should be deleted.
Every game has a Glitches article. Why should this one be the only game without one? It just needs more glitches. Maybe we can tell some people to help with editing this page. SuperPaperFan
- There are a lot of games with out glitches pages Raven Effect (talk)
There is? Then someone should make them. SuperPaperFan
- They don't need them and contrary to your claims out of 207 games only 40 have pages on glitches Raven Effect (talk)
Oh, Ok. Thanks for answering me. SuperPaperFan
Shy Guy Glitch
I really dont think that that glitch is really a glitch, its just the pose a shy guy holds while he is charging a pitch. If anything i think it should go on the Shy Guy page on the wiki as a note in his super sluggers section Mich5643 18:15, 21 April 2012 (EDT)
Removed "eye glitch" section
I'm removing a section that talks about a supposed eye texture glitch, which cites the images above. The catchlight (white shine which the page mistakes for a pupil) is not misplaced; it's supposed to stay fixed at a certain point on the eye to mimic reflections. Unfortunately the game mirrors this texture anyway, so the illusion is already a little broken. But at least it's consistent in its symmetry... except...
