- “Ooh, I want to have a go in one of those! I don't care what you say, I'm getting behind the wheel!”
- —Stella, Fortune Street
Mario Circuit is a game board that appears in both Itadaki Street DS and Fortune Street. It is based on the location of the same name from the Mario Kart series.
History
Itadaki Street DS
Mario Circuit first appears as a playable board in Itadaki Street DS. It features many elements from the Mario Kart: Double Dash!! version of the race course, though the track has a different layout. A Chain Chomp, Piranha Plants in Warp Pipes, giant letters spelling Mario's name, mushroom-shaped hot-air balloon, bridge near the finish line, and Delfino Oak Trees all appear in the background of the board. The board's squares loosely follows the shape of the road. In Tour mode, the player must get first or second place to clear the board. The competitors are Luigi, Birdo and Toad. Clearing this board unlocks Birdo.
