A Malboro is a species of enemies from the Final Fantasy games that appear in Mario Hoops 3-on-3. The Malboro is a large, green mutated plant creature with five huge orange eyes and a long mouth. It appears in Malboro Garden and stands behind either basket. When a player gets too close to the Malboro, it will spew a toxic purple gas known as Bad Breath (Blue Magic) in Final Fantasy Series that will knock any player who touches it down and make them slower.
