- “Yo, it's Jimmy! I made a super-cool skiiing game starring yours truly. It's an ice-cold combo of old-school style and future-fresh gameplay. You're gonna dig it!”
- —Jimmy T, Game & Wario
Ski is the minigame Jimmy T hosts in Game & Wario. It is a single-player minigame.
Story
Jimmy T is skiing down a hill. Cathy of the Ski bunnies spots him and follows him. Soon, many Ski bunnies (and a bear) are skiing after Jimmy. Then, they all ski jump.
Gameplay
The player must have their vertically to play. Its screen displays a bird's-eye-view of the area, while the TV shows Jimmy from different perspectives depending on the mode. Ski consist of two modes.
Time Trial
This mode involves Jimmy skiing down the hill to reach the Disco club for the best time record. If the player fails to beat the default time record, they have to retry the course until they meet the minimum time requirement for it. Once the player has beaten a course, more courses are open. Beating the gold trophy time requirement for the first time rewards a coin for the Cluck-A-Pop. The TV shows Jimmy from various cinematic shots.
Jimmy can also perform several tricks in the air that gives him a speed boost after he lands. Shaking the GamePad up and down while jumping off a ramp makes Jimmy do a spin move. Shaking it left or right makes him do a slow-motion pirouette in the air. Jumping off from the middle of a ramp makes Jimmy take off a piece of clothing. The first time this is done, he takes off his winter coat. For the second time, he takes off his pink jacket. After the third time, he suddenly dons a gold suit. Performing too many tricks makes Jimmy lose his fake afro.
After reaching the finish line, Jimmy either skis into the club, crashes into the club's doors, loses his afro, or a combination of the listed events. Depending on the player's performance, Jimmy dances with four Ski bunnies if the player reaches gold time requirement, he dances with only three for reaching the silver requirement, he dances alone for reaching the bronze requirement, and lies collapsed on the ground as the music slows if the player misses the bronze requirement.
Endless Bunny Slope
The objective in this mode is to keep skiing as long as possible, driving Jimmy away from pits, lakes and walls. As Jimmy skis, he must gather as many Ski bunnies along the path and reach the Disco Club checkpoints. The player gets an additional 1000 points if they gather all nine Ski bunnies before the checkpoint. The game ends if Jimmy falls off the edge at any time. TV shows the view from behind Jimmy.
Boost Mode
After getting a gold trophy on every level, Boost Mode is unlocked. In this mode, the player may replay every stage at a faster speed. Jimmy is bald from the start, and the player gets Cluck-A-Pops for getting the bronze and gold trophies.
