The Barrel Train is a locomotive operated by Donkey Kong that appears in Mario Party 8. It appears exclusively on the board Shy Guy's Perplex Express.
The Barrel Train appears whenever a player lands on a DK Space, replacing the train's current engine, which could be either Shy Guy's standard one or Bowser's Bad-Breath Express. In Party Mode, the first player who reaches the Barrel Train is given a Star from Donkey Kong for free. In Star Battle Arena, Donkey Kong doubles the player's coin total.
The Barrel Train leaves either after someone reaches it or if somebody lands on a Bowser Space. If the player lands on a Bowser Space, the Bad-Breath Express comes instead.
