Desert Hills is a course in Mario Kart DS. Pokeys run wild around parts of the course and the Angry Sun will throw Fire Snakes down at the drivers from the second lap on. The course looks like Desert Land from Super Mario Bros. 3. It also features a few bumps and has many sharp turns. The sand can slow even the lightest of karts down by huge amounts.
There is a considerably big shortcut in this course, taken by going straight across the hairpins, instead of going around. In 150cc, this shortcut requires only one mushroom, if the player jumps at the right time.
